Shawn joined St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation from a sister facility in Connecticut. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Maine at Machias, and then he perused his Master's in Health Care Administration which he received from the University of Connecticut. He has worked as a Social Worker and Administrator in health care since 1994. Shawn has been at St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab for over four years now. Kathy is the Director of Nursing and has over 30 years in the field of Geriatrics. While nursing rules and regulations have change, Kathyís goal to provide the very best care for her patients has not. Kathy has been able to pass this passion on to her staff, by leading them by her own example. Kathy welcomes the option of getting to know her residents and her residentís family members. Brian is the Director or Rehab Services at St. Johnsbury. Brian completed a BS in Occupational Therapy at the University of Montreal and a BS in Psychology at Concordia University. Brian, who was born and raised in Quebec, Canada, has been a US citizen since 2004 and has worked as an OT since 1992. Brian has worked in several clinial settings in several states but has made VT home since 1997.
Sandy has worked at St. Johnsbury for 6.5yrs as an activities assistant and recently took on the Director role. Sandy's goal is to help each resident live his/her life to the fullest extent possible while at the center. She is always open to an ongoing dialogue with her residents and their families.
Jessica graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor's degree in Human Services in 2006 and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2013. She began her journey into the world of geriatrics in 2006 as a case manager for the Area Agency on Aging, where she later became a caregiver support specialist. In these roles she gained knowledge of area resources and offered support to many area seniors and their family members. As a former caregiver she took her skills and experience and became a certified Powerful Tools for the Caregiver Class Leader in 2010. Jessica co-led many classes where she offered support to caregivers as they learned how to care for themselves while caring for a loved one. Her devotion to the people she serves was recognized by Governor Douglass when she was awarded the Healthy Aging Award in 2010 after being nominated by a client she was working with in the community. Jessica brings her years of experience and love of what she does to St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab where she is ready to offer support and advocate for the residents and their family members
Bonnie comes from New Hampshire and worked at North County Home Health and Hospice. She has experience working with most all of the insurance companies, making sure each patient has good care and working through any insurance issues or questions the patient or family may have. She hopes to run a smooth Business Office operation for St. Johsnbury.
